How it Works - A Patient Journey

The EasyPay patient interface offers a complete user friendly touch screen system, designed to drive maximum revenues for hospital departments

1. Appointment Letter

The patient journey should start from when the appointment letter is received. It is helpful to inform patients the cost of the scan pictures and the different payment methods available to them.

It is also important to let patients know not to pay for their scan pictures until AFTER they’ve been scanned (in case of any issues with the pregnancy).

We recommend that this information be included in the appointment letter. We can provide FREE colour insert cards with this information on, to go in with the appointment letters.

2. Sonographer

On the day of the scan the patient arrives at reception and checks in as normal. The patient is subsequently scanned and once the Sonographer has completed the clinical procedures the patient is then asked how many pictures they would like to buy.

3. Payment kiosk

Patients are then directed to the touch screen payment kiosk to pay whilst the Sonographer completes the notes and prints out the required copies.

At the discretion of the Sonographer, the patient can either return to the scan room to collect the scan images or collect them from reception.

From our extensive experience we've found this way works best and is recommended by us. However we fully understand not every hospital can follow the patient journey above for numerous reasons and these hospitals still collect payment with no trouble at all. With this in mind, we have added a refund function to the payment kiosk allowing staff to refund patients if there is a problem with the scan itself.
